Undergraduate studies at the Wrocław University. Ph.D. studies at the Wrocław University of Technology. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship with Professor Adam Bartecki at the Wrocław University of Technology joined the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Podlasie. It was the beginning of his broad interest of electronic spectroscopy of inorganic and complex compounds, particularly of transition elements in solutions. Appointed Professor in 1993; organized and headed the group of Theoretical Inorganic Chemistry, lectured Electronic Spectroscopy and Coordination Chemistry. Co-author of one book and over 50 papers. Research interests span of a wide range of problems in the general area of coordination chemistry of transition metal complexes. Since February 2005 Associate Professor of chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Opole, specializing in solution electronic spectroscopy.
